Today, June 11, 2026, the very feast day of the Holy Apostle Barnabas, founder and protector of the Church of Cyprus, the Ordination to the Episcopacy of the Bishop-elect, Metropolitan Gregory of Paphos, was celebrated during a Hierarchical Concelebration of the Divine Liturgy. The service was led by His Beatitude Archbishop George of Cyprus, co-celebrating with the representative of the Ecumenical Patriarch, His Eminence Metropolitan Bartholomew of Smyrna, and the members of the Holy Synod of the Church of Cyprus, at the Holy Cathedral of Saint Barnabas in Nicosia.
It is the duty of us all to stand by his side with respect, love, submission, and obedience, so that he too may stand by us, his Flock! The first to set a good example, with all its heart and love, is our Holy Monastery of Trooditissa, as it falls under the jurisdiction of the Holy Metropolis of Paphos.
To our new Metropolitan, we wholeheartedly wish many years, full of grace and fruitfulness!!!
