676 (SIMPLICITY/ HUMILITY/ NEIGHBOUR)
Civility, courtesy, simplicity, and
humility demand from you to be
affable when something is
offered to you
. Accept it with
simplicity and
pleasure.
677 (NEIGHBOUR/ LOVE)
Gladly
give your place, your
turn, your
right…to your
neighbour!
“Love your
neighbor as
yourself” (Mark 12.43),
says the Lord.
And before this He said that
“the first commandment of all” is to
“love the
Lord your God with all
your heart, and with
all your soul, and with
all your mind, and with
all your strength (Mark 12, 30).
And then he added “…and the second, similar to this,
love your
neighbour as
yourself.” (Mark 12, 32).
The first is a
prerequisite of the second one.
How nice then is to
put ourselves in the
place of our
neighbour and to
consider our
neighbour as
ourselves!
Do to
him as
we would wish others to
do to
us. Do to
him as we
would do to
ourselves…
Our
Paradise (or our
hell), my brethren, is our
respective stand towards
our neighbour…
