671 (REPENTANCE/ SPIRITUAL STRUGGLE)
The
true repentance (for something specific)
presupposes:
1.
True awareness of the mistake (sin).
2.
True repentance for this.
3.
True wish and desire
not to repeat it.
After you pass all these
3 criteria· from now on:
1.
You may rejoice!
2. You
may and you
must continue your
struggle with
more intensity that you had
before the fall.
3. From now on you are
entitled to all
gifts and graces offered by
Christ and his
Church to each
baptized Orthodox.
True repentance, means
change of the mode of
thinking, of
speaking and of
behavior.
Change of priorities, desires and wishes …
Repentance is the
resurrection of the
soul before the
biological death…
Joy in the soul
, joy in
heaven, says the
Lord:
“Just so, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of angels of God over one sinner who repents.” (Luke 15,10)
