692 (SIMPLICITY) Today’s P.A. is about simplicity… Unfortunately, people -especially today– are not honest or direct or simple or natural… They have no genuine and selfless love towards their neighbour; nor do they have good intentions towards him! However, what is mostly absent from people of today is simplicity!!! Thus, since simplicity is missing, the other dual virtue which follows it, which is called love and humility, is also missing! The absence of simplicity results in the presence of misunderstandings, controversies, fights, divisions, separations! So, you, my dear, please ensure:
That you have simplicity…
That you think with simplicity…
That you talk with simplicity…
That you face any adversities which may happen to you with simplicity…
That your relation with others is governed by simplicity…
That in general, you behave and move around with simplicity…and remain down to earth! Simplicity, my brethren, is the twin sister of humility and the two together attract love! The Holy Trinity is simple; simple and indivisible!
And we, who are created in God’s image, have a soul simple by nature. Simply said, after the fall, our soul acquired variability, multiformity and multitasking… However, our good God, wishes us to be simple…; in our thoughts, as well as in our words and our behaviour…so that we may become like Him! (“after His likeness”). So, we may apply here what the Lord categorically said: «Assuredly, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.»(Matthew 18, 3) If you are careful, you will much benefit spiritually from the infants and little children, in all manifestations, aspects and circumstances of your life… If we -human being- were such simple and humble, our planet would have been a heaven on earth!
